Syncing two regional Shopify stores
Two stores for two regions is the same catalogue sold twice: same products, different currency, usually a different range and its own stock. The work is not copying - it is deciding what must stay identical and what must stay different, and then noticing when the two drift apart.
What has to stay identical
Product identity and content: title, description, options, variants with their SKU and barcode, your metafields, images. When these differ between regions, a customer sees one product on your German store and a different one on your American store, and support finds out from a complaint.
StoreTwin copies these one way - from the store that owns the catalogue into the regional one - and compares them every hour, plus a full field-by-field comparison once a day.
What must stay different, and does
Price. Your regional store does not sell at the same number, and a sync that overwrites price every hour undoes the pricing work somebody did on purpose. StoreTwin sets a price once, when it first creates a product in the regional store - a variant without one would go on sale at zero - and never touches it again.
Stock. Regional stores usually ship from their own location. StoreTwin syncs inventory per location and only for the locations you pick, so a warehouse in one region does not overwrite the numbers of another.
The range. A regional store often sells a subset. You pick which products are actually synced; everything else is still compared and reported, so you can see the difference without copying it.
One direction, on purpose
Sales in the regional store do not move stock in the main one, and there is no shared pool of units - the copy goes one way. Why one-way is the safer default. If both of your stores sell the same physical units and every sale has to reduce what the other can sell, you need a shared-inventory product instead: what that case actually needs.
Knowing it stayed right
Nobody watches a regional store as closely as the main one, so the question worth answering is not "did the sync run" but "are the two stores identical today". StoreTwin answers it with a list: which product, which field, the value on each side, and what it repaired. How the audit works
The free plan audits a catalogue of any size, so you can see what actually differs between your stores before paying anything.
